ABOUT
I'm Lisa! Born in Ohio and raised in Texas, I've called Austin my home for the last 28 years. I love to eat popcorn and watch movies with my husband and four rowdy but lovable dogs.
In spring of 2000 I opened a small local cafe and helped to turn it into a very successful, award-winning restaurant. I went back to school for a degree in Accounting, and for the last 15 I was the accountant and office administrator for the business.
While I am trained as a full stack software engineer, I am passionate about UI/UX design and hope to grow my talents accordingly. I've always considered myself a 'forever student', so I am eager to continually learn new skills in an industry where things are forever evolving.

Night Drive Music
This project is a band website showcasing Night Drive's songs, music videos, merchandise, news and upcoming live shows, using ReactJS. The audio player was built with Javascript, and I used React-Player for the embedded videos. * This app is still in progress *
Airbnb Superhost Site
This is a simple website built to promote services provided by an Airbnb Superhost Ambassador using HTML and CSS.
TETHERED TO THE WEATHER
A weather dashboard that allows the user to look up the current weather and 5 day weather forecast for any city. While the app is quite simplistic, it was the first project I built from start to finish on my own. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the app using a mobile-first approach as well as newly learned technologies. This app was built using HTML/CSS and JavaScript and utilizes the Open Weather Map API.
